WE FIGHT ON TOGETHER

What is the Take Action Network?

The Take Action Network (TAN) is a powerful online platform that connects everyday people with opportunities to make a difference. TAN makes it easy to stay informed, track legislation, and take action on the issues that matter most to you.
With TAN you can:
  • Receive alerts about bills and policies moving through Washington state.
  • Take quick action by sending emails or messages to lawmakers using ready-to-go scripts.
  • Stay connected to local advocacy groups and coalitions.
  • Track your impact and see how your efforts fit into a larger statewide movement.
Whether you have five minutes or five hours, TAN helps you turn your values into action. It’s free, user-friendly, and designed to amplify your voice in the fight for democracy and justice.

✅ Sign up for the Take Action Network (TAN). Once you’re in, be sure to add Indivisible Whidbey to your list of favorites. We will publish actions you can take to make your voice heard in Olympia and across the nation.
🗣️ Canvassing Voters
We talk face-to-face with voters in our community to understand what concerns them most about the direction of our country. We focus on reaching people who may not vote regularly or who may not feel heard — and we invite them back into the democratic process.

✍️
Writing Postcards
Our volunteers write postcards to voters across the country — encouraging them to vote, explaining ballot measures, or spotlighting issues they may not hear about otherwise. It's a powerful way to build momentum from right here on Whidbey.

📜
Legislative Actions
We track key legislation at both the state and national level. We help our members understand what's at stake and provide tools to contact their representatives directly. We make advocacy easy and effective.

🤝
Building Community
We bring people together — across differences — through events, conversations, and shared action. Community power starts with connection.

🗳️
Election Work
We support endorsed candidates and educate the public about where local and national candidates stand on critical issues. We believe informed voters are empowered voters.

🎶Music Brigade
The Music Brigade as an overarching collection of musicians who are interested in using their musical gifts to this critical moment in our country. If you love music and want to join a growing community that resists through song, sign up using the link above.

Some of us meet monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at Trinity Lutheran Church, front building (all are welcome). Here we sing all manner of protest songs and prep for singing at larger protests. NOTE: you do not have to attend this group to be part of the Music Brigade.
Some of us offer instrumental music as a part of ProDemocracy gatherings.
Some of us participate in Actions with Singing Resistance Whidbey Island. These Actions may involve collaborating with other Singing Resistance groups in the region.
Some of us offer support in various ways, from supplying and running a sound system, bringing and setting up canopies of rally/protests, help get the word out about various events
