With King Tides this week, it’s time to start thinking about the Blue Tide that is going to sweep the nation in next year’s mid-term elections. Momentum is shifting. Meanwhile, here some immediate actions: Ready to TAN?The Take Action Network (TAN) is an easy and effective way to stand up for democracy and make your voice heard on a variety of issues. Once you sign up for TAN, you will have access to a statewide organizing hub where you can select issues of interest and also see issues Indivisible Whidbey is sharing, along with actionable steps and suggested scripts for phone calls and emails. With a few clicks, you can have your say and make sure Washington leaders hear your voice. Join TAN via the Indivisible Whidbey website. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the link to sign up. Look for us to feature TAN actions for Indivisible Whidbey members to take regularly. Our goal is to build TAN membership (currently at 142 people) and increase actions taken (currently about 100 in the last six months). Join TAN today and tell a friend Whidbey Civic CalendarPlenty is going on right here on Whidbey Island. Your eyes, ears, and voices are needed to hold local leaders accountable and ensure they make decisions that serve the people. At the end of this email is a civic calendar featuring upcoming island events. Please consider participating! Indivisible Whidbey GatheringsGathering as a community is an important part of building the movement. Please consider coming to one of our local community socials! They are a great way to be reminded that we are not alone! Coupeville Community Social (4th Tuesday of every month) Oak Harbor Community Social (1st Monday of every month) Our first South Whidbey community social drew a great crowd. We will not host one in December, but we will have another gathering soon! Please prioritize attending our All-island Membership Meeting on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Clinton Community Hall. Whether you live north or south, this is a time for us to all come together, affirm our values and commitment to the movement, and each find our role in protecting democracy and civil rights.
